How Accurate are the Oral Fluid Drug Tests? These tests are over 99% accurate when samples are taken within the appropriate time frame.
-
What are the Benefits of Choosing an Oral Fluid Collection Method? To perform a mouth swab drug test no special training is needed and you can choose any location to perform the test. Privacy is not an issue since Saliva Tests are non-invasive and results are available in minutes without the need for laboratory or specialized equipment. Any positive result is tamper-proof and can be sent to a laboratory for confirmation if required by a GC/MS or LC/MS/MS test. After collecting a saliva sample for approximately 5-10 minutes, the mouth swab can be secured into its container for instant results. Oral fluid is readily accessible, and is less likely to be adulterated. This oral fluid test is less invasive than a urine drug test simplifies the process and allows you to observe the testing, making it hard to adulterate the saliva sample. By coming with a color changing saliva indicator the donor can rest assured that an adequate sample collection has been obtained helping to prevent the risk of invalid drug test results.
-
How Long Do Results Take? The oral fluid test results in 5-10 minutes. The result report is sent out to the designated recipient within approximately 30 minutes from the time the test is resulted.

How Long Will Marijuana or Cannabis be Detectable in a Mouth Swab Drug Test?Marijuana detection periods in this drug tests are usually short-lived since some onsite Saliva Tests use 11-nor-9-Carboxy-THC in metabolite form (up to 1 day) and not the parent ∆9 THC (up to 72 hours) which is what our MD SalivaScreen Test uses. Unlike urine tests that will look for the longer-term residuals of cannabis, the purpose of using an oral fluids drug test is to detect recent use. The mouth swab drug test with short term detection periods helps to know if a person is under the influence of marijuana and 72 hours is the most recommended time line for these oral fluids tests.
-
What is an Oral Fluid Drug Test? When a person is a drug tested using an Oral Fluid Test, the compounds picked up are tiny particles from the bloodstream that are collected from the fluids. These blood particles are examined using an immunoassay test that creates a biochemical reaction that measures the drug molecules in the oral fluids samples. The most common Saliva or Mouth Swab Drug Test will measure for illicit drugs like marijuana, cocaine, heroin (in the form of opiates), methamphetamines, and MDMA (Molly)/Ectsasy. This test can also test for use of prescription drugs like amphetamines, benzodiazepine, buprenorphine (Suboxone), and others.
-
What is the drug detection window for oral fluid testing?Depending on the drug used, dose, and route of administration, a drug may be detected in oral fluid in less than one hour and remain detectable for five up to 48 hours after last use.TACKL Health's certified and highly trained professionals can perform COVID-19 tests on babies as young as newborns. Please contact your desired testing location in order to confirm that this is an option.
-
How Is the Oral Fluid Test Administered? The oral fluids drug test is one of the simplest drug tests to use 1. The patient easily inserts the test into their mouth, allowing the swab to collect the fluids. 2. Using the collection device, remove the spit from the swab. 3. Push the collector device into the saliva drug test cube. 4. Wait 5 to10 minutes for the test results.
